When you decide to have an item hand-made with Australian Opal Cutters and Australian Pearl Divers these are a number of steps in the process:
We jointly discuss and enter into the design process, then together we will look at actual rings, pendants and/or earrings from stock that you can choose the one most like the design you are after. If you are communicating by email, look at emails of various designs until we find the right one,
No matter where you go you will pay a lot more than you will with us, (particularly if you are having it made up in 18ct gold). The Ghellers Guide (The international Pricing Standard for jewellery makeup) states that an average ring makeup runs at about $2,500 USD. So you will save on the labour costs by having this item made up with us! Often this saving is approximately half international standard prices.
In each instance we aim to answer the 4 most commonly asked questions when having a design made by hand.
Choice: What if it is not what I expected?
As we make every item by hand from solid gold, we can make your item fit your exact specifications. We will create the EXACT design you are looking for, this will be a hand-crafted design fashioned from one piece of gold
Satisfaction: What if I am not satisfied?
Your design will be handcrafted using the highest quality alloy for White Gold. We use a high grade palladium with a 95% mix ratio (many use 75% quality or less) and we guarantee that there is NO nickel in our alloy.”
If you do not like your item when it is completed we will re-make the item up to 3 times until you are completely satisfied. Our company policy is ‘we do not rest until you are happy’ we will even make it again if we need to. Remember - our policy is customer satisfaction.
Shipping: How can I get this as I am overseas?
We use Fedex which is internationally recognised and all insurance is covered by us which brings the postage down to as little as $45 U.S. ($75 AUD). Your item can be shipped to home or work on a date that suits you and you will be notified 2 days before it arrives.
Design: How can I design this? I am not a designer?
We begin the process by drawing around the stone, then add a simple bale or a shoulder setting and then wrap a piece of gold around with a little design and diamonds. At each stage we will email you and gather your feedback and input. If you "just have to see it made up” we can do computer mockups that look absolutely lifelike!
We stand by our hallmarks and guarantee gold type and quality. There are many unscrupulous manufacturers who go as far as manufacturing items with inferior metals (even brass) and gold plate it with a solid gold hallmark. Here you can be absolutely sure that the gold is what we say it is.
All of our items are backed by an international warranty and service guarantee
